We are online!

After working on the page and maps we are pleased to launch our weblog.

Here you can find information on our trip, Rotary International's PolioPlus campaign and a bit about us - Ollie and Xaver.

We hope it is helpful and inspiring!

What is PolioPlus?

PolioPlus is the extraordinary effort by Rotary International and its partners to eradicate polio, a tenacious disease.

In 25 years, the number of endemic countries has been reduced from 135 to 4 (Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Pakistan).

Polio eradication is within our final grasp. But if we do not eradicate the disease now, the risk of crippling and deadly polio outbreaks will continue to threaten the world's children!

Don't forget: Every Dollar you donate will be doubled by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It is your contribution that will END POLIO NOW!

How can I donate?

If you are a Rotarian, please help us to acknowledge your contribution by donating through your club. The Rotarian in charge of your club's support will keep us informed of the club's progress.

For family and friends we are selling the parts of the route for $1 per kilometer. Click on the section of the map that apeals to you and look for sections that are still 'For Sale' - red means 'bought' and blue means that this section of the route is still available. Once you have decided on which section you would like, send us an email at cyclingnzforpolio@gmail.com with the start and finish and we will map it for you.

Of course if this all sounds a little complicated then please call us on 021 293 8480 and we will do it for you.
